Several millenniums now, flute has been used by humanity and happens to be one of the oldest musical instruments to have been played over the centuries. According to archaeological founding, some flutes found in historical sites date back to nearly 30,000 years. In fact, the first flutes seem to have been constructed through bones of various animals, and also through the use of various kinds of wood.

By closing and opening the various holes of the flute, different sounds and pitches are produced. The amount of air that the musician passes through the flute also has a prominent role in deciding the pitch of the sound. The pitch and the sound can be varied by the amount of air being blown through the flute, and therefore, he will not have to worry about opening or closing the holes anymore.
