agonizing moment

apartment construction

There is a construction going on not far away from us. They are renovating the entire house and changing the gate. Construction employees are doing their shifts devoutly, making night into day. That’s okay if that will remove our misery faster. They are making too much noise during nighttime. Good thing I can still sleep soundly with the help of my sleep number bed. Of course, it is not enough. The sound still penetrates within the walls of our house. And it is so agonizing.

Homeowners are not taking actions to it. We don’t want to create problems with people here since we don’t know them at all. We are just new and know no one. We are waiting for the time that a homeowner will stand for his or her right to sleep. They should do their work during daytime.

I hate it!

i-hate-itI am not surprised to hear that my future mother-in-law is feeling the signs of high-blood. She is really big. Almost all her kids are telling her to slow down on eating and if possible exercise even for 30 minutes. I don’t know if she ever tried using diet pill last year as she loses weight during that time. But, that was a year ago and she gained more weight this time. I advised her to see a doctor for a check-up so she can do the necessary steps to avoid the worst thing to happen. However, she is the most hard-headed person I have known in my entire existence and refuses to do that. I hate it.

Resting Guidelines in Hiking

resting-guidelines-in-hikingHaving a steady rhythm in your hiking and resting periods will help you get through a day of heavy hiking. Well here are some guidelines when it comes to resting:

  • The purpose of resting is to slow down your heart rate and breathing and rest your hearts and lungs. In addition, Resting gives your body the time to get rid of the lactic acids built up in your muscles and to recover from the strains and possible pressure sores.
  • Try to rest in regular intervals and make them part of your walking rhythm. Rest for 10 minutes after every one hour of hiking.
  • Try to stick to short 10-minute breaks and only use your lunch break and possibly your dinner break as extended rest periods. A ten-minute interval is the most effective rest duration when it comes to body recovery.
  • Set a stopwatch if you fear that there is a chance of breaking the 10-minute limit. It is very easy to doze off even in 10 minutes.
  • Make sure to take off your backpack and try to relax your body and mind as quickly as possible. Get out of the sun and generally try to rest in a cool and shady location. You can use your backpack as a back support for sitting down.
  • In longer lunch and dinner breaks, you will want to give your feet a rest by removing your shoes and putting on slippers or sandals. If conditions allow it, you may want to walk bare foot. That will help prevent the occurrence of Blisters. Longer rest periods are also a great opportunity to dry possibly wet clothes and check your equipment.

I have my camera!

Now I already have a camera. It may not be the SLR I am dreaming for a long time, but it’s a small camera I preferred if ever I will not get the SLR. It comes with several freebies including an 8G micro sd. I badly need an extra memory whenever there’s an out of town. Not only that I am taking pictures for souvenirs, I am taking pictures so I can post it on my blogs as well. I was able to get it for free plus several others and the fair discount the store gave me. I know I was able to get a good buy. Although I have a small camera, I still dream of getting the SLR in the future.

the future

the-futureLast two weeks, dad gets a fair amount of money from his online sideline. He never expects that he would get that much as he is new to the online world. The amount is bigger than his monthly salary; let’s say almost twice of it. Of course, he did not earn it easily since he spent substantial time before he earned that amount.

At that time there will be a festival in my hometown and my father, as always, intends to join. The money arrives so timely. The house must be presentable for the guests. And from his money he was able to buy new stainless steel backsplash, plate cabinet, floor mats and paints for the walls. Installation and several preparations made him so busy that he was not able to visit some of his sites.

I just wonder how our house looks like this time, although it’s not a total renovation. But, I was not there when the changes take place. I am curious of the new backsplash. I have seen several samples in the web, I just can’t imagine how it looks in my parents’ kitchen. But, I will surely see that in the future.
